Mena Alexandra suvari born on February 13, 1979 in the USA is an actress also a fashion designer, and model. Soon after she began her career as an actress, Mena Alexandra Suvari appeared as a guest on 1990s television shows Boy Meets World and High Incident. Her first film appearance was on 1997's drama Nowhere. Through her roles on American Beauty - for which the actress was nominated to be awarded the BAFTA Award - and American Pie and American Pie, which earned her greater attention as she stepped into more prominent roles. Following that, she starred as the main character for the role of a protagonist in Sugar & Spice (2000) alongside American Pie star Jason Biggs. She had appearances in the 2002 acclaimed independent drama Spun and in the 2004 thriller feature Trauma. She also appeared in HBO's series Six Feet Under. She was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for 2005, as part of the Outstanding Ensemble. In 2008, Suvari appeared in several movies like Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and as in the adaptation to The Garden of Eden. Suvari was featured in numerous blog and fashion publications, including Vogue. She is also a Lancome model and appears on the advertisements printed of Lancome Paris Adaptive. Suvari has been a loyal supporter and activist for the highly regarded African relief organization the African Medical and Research Foundation. In addition, she has been involved in issues of empowerment for women, as well as charitable organizations which promote research into breast cancer as well as End Violence Against Women.
