Mena Alexandra (born on February 13, 1979) is an actress and model hailing in the US. After 1990, just following her debut as a model, Suvari started to act in television programs like Boy Meets World. She had her first film part in the drama Nowhere. Following her appearance in American Beauty (for which she won the BAFTA Award) and American Pie which attracted her greater attention, she began her transition into major role. She's appeared alongside American Pie's co-star Jason Biggs in Loser (2000) before starring as the lead character in Sugar & Spice (2001). Spun, a 2002 independent drama film and Trauma, a (2004) thriller were both prominent in her work. In 2004, she appeared on HBO's drama Six Feet Under. She was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2005 as part of the Outstanding Ensemble. In 2008, Suvari appeared in various films like Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and as the adaptation film to The Garden of Eden. Suvari models for Lancome Paris Adaptive, and she has also appeared on several blogs and fashion magazines, including Vogue. She has backed and served as an advocate of the African Medical and Research Foundation for many years. She has been a vocal advocate in the cause of female empowerment as well as a participant of charities that are combating breast cancer as well as women's health. End Violence Against Women movement.
